A Blasphemous Shrine at Fatima?

[E.N. This article was written in the May 2004 edition of Chiesa viva. We thought it appropriate to make this available in English as it proves again the workings of the enemy way to water down the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church so that we will eventually be melded into the One World Religion.  Who would have ever thought Lourdes and Fatima would be their #1 targets?]

From October 10 to 12, 2003, an inter-religious Congress was held in Fatima in which it was decided that Fatima would become an interreligious center, for which a new shrine would be built, in which all the different religions could meet cordially.

The Rector of the present shrine of Fatima, Msgr. Luciano Guerra, publicly expressed the thought and tone of that Congress held in Portugal, saying: "The future of Fatima, or the adoration of God and His Mother (?), [NB The “?” inserted by Fr Villa as Catholics never  “adore” the Blessed Mother] must pass through the creation of a shrine in which all the different religions can meet cordially. Inter-religious dialogue, in Portugal and in the Catholic Church, is still in its embryonic stage, but the shrine of Fatima is not indifferent to the problem and is already open to the idea of becoming a universal mission zone."

And he added: "The fact that Fatima is a Muslim name - that of Muhammad's daughter! - indicates that the sanctuary must be open to the coexistence of different faiths and beliefs. We must assume that it would be the will of the Blessed Virgin Mary that things should come to this conclusion!”

Also present at the Congress was Msgr. Fitzgerald, president of the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue; there was also Cardinal Policarpo, patriarch of Lisbon, and there was Father Jacques Dupuis, known for his heterodox theological positions1. This Jesuit, in his speech, insisted on the need for a union of the world's religions. "The religion of the future," he said, "will be a general convergence of religions in a universal Christ that will satisfy everyone (...). The other religious traditions that exist in the world are part of a divine plan for humanity. ... The universality of the kingdom of God allows this, and this is nothing more than a diversified form of access to the common mystery of well-being. In the end, it is hoped that every Christian will be a better Christian, and that every Hindu will be a better Hindu."

Regarding the question of dogma: "Outside the Church there is no salvation," the Belgian Jesuit spewed his disgust: "There is no need to invoke, here, the horrible text of the Council of Florence in 1442."

A Canadian journalist, present there, noted that Mons. Guerra applauded, as did the apostolic delegate of Portugal, the bishop of Leira - Fatima. This Congress ended with this official declaration: "No religion can eliminate the other, nor strengthen itself by lowering the others." Which means that "an open dialogue leads to building bridges, to destroying the walls erected, over the centuries, by hatred. What is required of every religion is that it fully respect its faith and that it treat the others as equal to equal, without any more complexes of superiority or inferiority."

The delegates of the Congress then accepted the idea of updating religious shrines, including that of Fatima, every 25 years so that they can reflect the trends and beliefs of the moment. Finally, a complete reconstruction of the sanctuary of Fatima will be made with a new basilica, which will be built next to the current basilica, erected in 1921.

During the Congress, a young man said to Cardinal Policarpo: "Monsignor, during your speech, you said that 'every religion, practiced with sincerity, leads to God.'" Now, Sister Lucy, in her "Message" of Fatima, said that there is only one God who deserves our adoration; the other gods are nothing, they are worth nothing, they can do nothing for us." How can these two ways of seeing be reconciled?" Msgr. Policarpo replied: "This way of seeing is outdated. Who are these deities that Sister Lucy speaks of …? Christians, Muslims and Jews, we all have the same God."2

The young man replied: "In the Apocalypse, the apostle St. John tells us that we must be wary of false prophets. Muhammad is a false prophet"?

Monsignor Policarpo, nervous, said: "Young man, I leave you the entire responsibility for the answer"!

But the young man replied: "You have not answered my question!" Msgr. Policarpo had to admit: "in Jeremiah's time, Mohammed would have been considered a false prophet..." 3.

Now, read that "horrible" text (but dogma of Faith!) of the Council of Florence!

“It firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Catholic Church before the end of their lives; that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is of such importance that only for those who abide in it do the Church's sacraments contribute to salvation and do fasts, almsgiving and other works of piety and practices of the Christian militia produce eternal rewards; and that nobody can be saved, no matter how much he has given away in alms and even if he has shed his blood in the name of Christ, unless he has persevered in the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church." (Council of Florence - Session XI, 4, February 1442)

It should be known that this "horrible teaching" had already been pronounced 700 years earlier by Pope Gregory II: "Whatever they are not or have not been in the Catholic Church, or have departed from it, will be punished with a sentence of eternal damnation..."4.

Pope Innocent III had also written to the Archbishop of Tarragozza: "With our hearts we believe and with our mouths we profess one Church, not of heretics, but the holy, Roman, Catholic and apostolic Church, outside of which we believe that no one is saved."5.

The Fourth Lateran Council also defined that "One is the universal Church of the faithful, outside of which no one is saved..."6.

We find the same teaching in Pope Boniface VIII: "We are forced, impelled by faith, to believe and hold of one holy, catholic and apostolic Church... outside of which there is no salvation or forgiveness of sins."7.

Now, it is easier to understand that Father Dupuis' statement is a real explicit heresy. In fact, Dupuis openly declared that that Catholic truth, infallibly defined, is a "horrible text" to be rejected. All the members of the Portuguese Hierarchy were present in the room, and everyone was enthusiastic about Father Dupuis' words!

The following day, Msgr. Michael Fitzgerald, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, in his speech, said: "Father Dupuis, yesterday, explained to us the theological basis (?!) to establish relations with members of other religions".

This was a praise of Father Dupuis' heresies!

It is horrifying! But if Catholics do not organize, not only to protest but also to prevent the execution of that accursed temple of Satan, blasphemy to Mary Most Holy will have the upper hand, especially since the project of that new sanctuary (?!) is already underway that will attract the curses of the Holy Trinity even on that strip of Europe that the Virgin of Fatima had already said would remain immune from Atheism,  already so active throughout the Catholic world!

As we can see, the erection of this new alleged shrine is nothing but a new blasphemy against the Catholic Faith, against Jesus Christ and against His Mother!

By now, even the Catholic lay faithful are showing signs of weariness for this poor Church of ours that is falling apart and that seems to be going bankrupt!

But the Church has always continued to teach this "horror"8, so that those who are outside the Church must adhere to it "in vow" at least implicitly9.

I quote, here, as confirmation, a "letter" from a "layman" sent to the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, with the hope that this "example" of Christian courage will arouse wide imitation throughout the Catholic camp.

"Your Eminence,

The press reports the "news" according to which a project is being studied for a complete renovation of the sanctuary of Fatima, in order to transform the existing church into a so-called "inter-religious" center.  If so, the decision would represent yet another step forward in the realization of that guiding purpose of Vatican II which requires us to "look at what unites us and not at what divides us."  This principle has ended up giving us a new religion, a new doctrine, a new cult. In fact, since "the one" who divides us is precisely Our Lord Jesus Christ, it is evident that the post-conciliar Hierarchy no longer believes - or relatively - in Our Lord, the One True Revealed God, ONE in His TRINITARIANNESS, but rather [they believe] in an unidentified "cosmic Christ," such as the Jesuit Freemason Teilhard de Chardin dreamed!

We know, however, that Our Lord said.

"I have come to bring fire to the earth. Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division" (Lk. 12:49-51).

And then: "Begone, Satan! It is written: The Lord thy God shalt thou adore, and him only shalt thou serve."! (Mt. 4:10).

“He that is not with me, is against me: and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth." (Mt. 12:30).

And then, explicitly: "Go everywhere and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you" (Mt. 28:19-20).

"He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned. " (Mk. 16:16).

Now, since for so long we have been witnessing an absolute indifference with which Your Eminence places himself in the face of the most varied heresies, followed and urged by a large part of the Episcopate, I would like to take the liberty of drawing Your Eminence's attention to the grave responsibility borne by Your Eminence, as head of the highest Dicastery to which it depends,  precisely, the preservation of the true Faith.                               The first chapel built at Fatima on the site of the Apparitions.

And this, despite the many warnings that Our Heavenly Mother, the Dulcis Virgo Maria, has sent us over time, up to the Messages gathered at Fatima, that place of worship which, today, they would like to profane. (Signed)

Look now at the project for a new ecumenical shrine in Fatima, and you will see that there is something disturbing in this fashion of making churches, now, in circular form, as if they were stadiums, theaters or something else profane.

It is known that the circle is a symbol connected to the sky, while the square is connected to the earth.

The quadrangular plan of our Catholic churches (or the equivalent “cross plan”) has always symbolized the "place" where worship is rendered to God, whose crowning glory is the dome above the quadrangle and the apse that completes, to the east, the Cross.

Heaven, therefore, is above the earth! In this new "sanctuary" (?!), on the other hand, which is to be made in Fatima, the quadrangular shape is replaced by a circular shape, resting on the ground, which plastically represents the modern soul that wants the "Kingdom of Heaven" to be realized on this earth!

Therefore, this inversion of symbols is diabolical, precisely because it shows that the sky is no longer above, but rather below, on the earth. Let us ask ourselves, then: why does the Catholic hierarchy no longer watch to ensure that these Christian forms are kept fixed in the building of Churches and Shrines, where the souls of our faithful are forged and elevated, but leave a free hand to architects who will excel in profane art, but who, certainly, know nothing, or very little, about religion, especially Catholic?

[Model of the New Ecumenical Sanctuary that is to be built at Fatima, alongside the current Basilica.]

Therefore, it is not rash to think of the worst, that is, that this proceeding even in sacred art with Masonic formulas is another fruit of the presumed Second Vatican Council, also a fruit of our time! And this time is of Modernism, impregnated with Atheism, theoretical, in its materialist ideas, practical, in its consumerism, and political in all the other cases that have led us to moral nihilism, crushing every objective norm of action, so that man has become a product of his freedom and his acts have lost any vision of the transcendent. A Modernism, therefore, that wants individualism, building its own religion according to the times, a religion devoid of intercessors between us and God and devoid of dogmas in the content of its faith.

Now, this is the inverse of the spirit and imbued with naturalistic pastoral care that "empties the scandal of the Cross" (Gal. 5:11).

All this makes us think of the approach of the "great apostasy", in which the enemies of Christ and of His Church will be able to sing to their father Satan, "Prince of this world", while to us, faithful of Christ, we will cry out: "SAVE US, O LORD!"

lET'S RECALL THE WORDS OF OUR LADY OF GOOD SUCCESS

"The small number of souls who, hidden, will preserve the treasure of the Faith and practice virtue will suffer a cruel, unspeakable and prolonged martyrdom. Many of them will succumb to death from the violence of their sufferings, and those who sacrifice themselves for the Church and their country will be counted as martyrs.

"In order to free men from bondage to these heresies, those whom the merciful love of my Most Holy Son has designated to effect the restoration will need great strength of will, constancy, valor and confidence in God. To test this faith and confidence of the just, there will be occasions when all will seem to be lost and paralyzed. This, then, will be the happy beginning of the complete restoration."
