Let us pray that Ireland doesn't commit suicide on May 25th!

Tomorrow is a big day  for Ireland as it is the day in which all of Ireland should turn out to vote against changing their 8th Amendment.

Changing the 8th Amendment would allow abortion in Ireland.  

All Hell has seemed to be unleashed on this Island once loved by not only God but Padre Pio!

Padre Pio had quite a love for these people as their Faith was strong.  They had endured and suffered centuries of persecution at the hands of the English/ Protestants.  

Coincidentally, May 25th- the date of the voting is also Padre Pio's 131st birthday.

But wait didn't Padre Pio say: "With God, there are no coincidences."  He sure did! And so I would suggest that it is no coincidence that it falls on this day!  Perhaps to wake up the people of Ireland as he wishes to help them recall his friendship with them over the years!

He was also quoted on the subject of Abortion and all Catholics in Ireland should read this before voting-since I believe they still have a love for Padre Pio.

Fr. Pellegrino  said to Padre Pio:

“Today you denied absolution to a woman because she had voluntarily undergone an abortion. Why have you been so rigorous with this poor unfortunate?” (Padre Pio would sometimes refuse to give absolution to a penitent if they showed insufficient contrition; often they would return and he’d give absolution if they were sincere).

 

Padre Pio responded: “The day that people lose their horror for abortion will be the most terrible day for humanity. Abortion is not only a homicide but also a suicide. Shouldn’t we have the courage to manifest our faith before those who commit two crimes within one act?"

“Suicide?,” asked Father Pellegrino.

“The suicide of the human race will be understood by those who will see the earth populated by the elderly and depopulated of children: burnt as a desert,” Padre Pio replied.

 

For so many years now, many people have tried to modernize Padre Pio and make him a kind of "warm and fuzzy" Padre Pio.  The true Padre Pio told the truth no matter if it was hard to hear or not!  Many a confessional door got slammed on an unrepentant sinner and always it was because he had the sinner's eternal salvation in mind! 

We see in the statement above Padre Pio was warning us of what was to become of us as a people- a Nation if we accept abortion.

Padre Pio was a victim soul for our time!  We must never forget that he suffered every pain for the salvation of souls most especially in the past 20th Century when most of the troubles began in the Catholic Church.  

Fr. Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist in Rome, who had known  Padre Pio for over 26 years was interviewed in 2011 by José María Zavala [who was instructed to keep the interview secret until after the exorcist’s death].

Around 1960, Fr. Gabriele Amorth said that he had a conversation with Padre Pio when Padre Pio sorrowfully said: 

"You know, Gabriele? It is Satan who has been introduced into the bosom of the Church and within a very short time will come to rule a false Church.”

He added after being asked if Padre Pio was concerned with chastisements that may befall the world because of sin: 

“Nothing of the sort mattered to him, however terrifying they proved to be, except for the great apostasy within the Church. This was the issue that really tormented him and for which he prayed and offered a great part of his suffering, crucified out of love.”

And then Fr. Amorth added that this was the Third Secret of Fatima - the Great Apostasy!

And is not a sign that this Great Apostasy is taking place the action of making Abortion lawful in a Land that was once almost completely Catholic???  

Additionally, those that have caused the Great Apostasy have injured the name of holy Padre Pio by creating an abomination in the "New Church" that was built to house his new tomb.

And so we turn to Padre Pio had ask him to pray for Ireland that they save themselves from suicide!  Spiritually and physically!  

May Padre Pio who was so generous with his miracles to the people of Ireland intercede for them now in their true time of need!  May they come to their senses and fight the good fight like Padre Pio would want them to!  And let us offer our prayers and rosaries for Ireland today and tomorrow for this cause!
