On November 18th, 2012, one of the most valiant Catholic priests in the history of the Catholic Church breathed his last after a long, debilitating illness in which he could no longer eat. The photo above is one of his last and one can see the emaciated look on his face. Yet, there was still a hint of a smile on his lips despite this fact.
In 2010, we were blessed to have met this priest on a trip to Italy... Well, though we did go to view the Shroud of Turin, the main purpose to make this journey across the ocean was to meet the intrepid Fr. Villa and see for ourselves if he was for real. And we were pleasantly surprised that he was! He was by that time limited in his ability to walk but his mind was sharp and he greeted us most cordially!
We had heard the story of how he had met Padre Pio and received the mission to fight ecclesiastical Freemasonry in the Church and then besides, was granted a Papal Mandate to do this work by Pope Pius XII enabling him to work within the Church with 3 main cardinals.
Alot of people like to put Fr Luigi in a certain camp...some say he was a Novus Ordo priest, some say he was a Sede Vacantist... some say he was too liberal ...some say he was too old fashioned... too traditional One thing is for sure, he was a true Roman Catholic priest who fought for the One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church... It is bound to answer many questions!
God bless you in eternity Fr Villa! You are sorely missed on earth!!!
